  • T-O-M question

Please don't flame me for this question but which way
to the ramps on the T-O-M bridge saddles face? Towards the
neck or to the string ferrules? I have seen pictures facing either direction. I am asking because while doing a string change my bridge fell off and I did not know which way it should go back on. Am I overlooking the obvious that the intonation adj. screws should be toward the rear of the guitar? Thanks for your help.

I do believe that the intonation screws would actually be facing the neck. At least that's how mine are.

the intonation screws face toward the neck on my LP, but the saddles are a different story-the three highest face toward the nut, the low strings are reversed for intonation purposes.

So it doesn't really matter as long as the intonation is
correct? I guess as long as the screws face the neck.

That's very odd. The intonation screws on my Weddington face away from the neck. I imagine it just depends on the particular manufacturer. However, if you think about, it makes sense to me that they should face away from the neck, otherwise the strings would be in the way when you tried to adjust intonation. With my Weddington, all I have to do is loosen the string a small amount, and I can adjust the intonation quite easily.

It doesn't matter as long as the intonation is correct. My Hamer, Les Paul and Jackson JJP have the intonation screws facing away from the neck. My Carvin and Jackson Dinky HX have the screws facing towards the neck.
