  • Need clean blues/jazz recommendations

I know most of you on this board are into shredding...and so am I, however I have found a new love in guitar sounds. Clean blues/jazz like "Riviera Paradise" and "Lenny" by SRV, and also "Manhattan" by Eric Johnson. After discovering these types of songs recently I've played them OVER AND OVER. I NEED MORE!!! What other recommendations can anyone make in the same style or even by the same guitarists? I've heard most of SRV's music but not Johnson's. PLEASE HELP!

Check out Larry Carlton, get a song called Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson, in fact, get that whole album, Steve Lukather, Django Reinhart, Charlie Christian, and George Benson.

It might be too much too soon, but I would recommend non-guitar orineted jazz. Check out "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis. I can email you an mp3 if you like.
