I have never sent any food to the USA, but I have brought some on the plane and gone through customs with it. Prepared foods seem to be ok, but any uncooked foods, like fruits, vegetables, meats, etc. is a no-no. I hope that helps a little.

you're not THAT wrong with the brownies ron, but it's about booze here...

my problem is the bottle won't be original sealed since it's self done.
(and no; I'm not sending booze around now to everyone )

just wanna clear up, since I fear the duane a little. could be anything in that bottle actually, and I want it to arrive and the right people to get drunk, ya know?

A few years ago I looked into shipping some wine to a custumer in New York and it was a pain in the ass. Sendeing homemade booze, that's not going to fly.

Home-made liquor? These days, that could get you in trouble for transporting explosives!

You need an import/export license for that kind of stuff dude. That's why my Thome ferin senf cost me so much here and usa stuff you get so much there. Damn government taxes.

well, let's say you shouldn't smoke while drinkin it...

I need an import licence?
for one damn buttle of booze?
wow... let's make things complicated...
maybe I should ship two bottles including one for the duane guys, but I have the feel that wouldn't work either.

how much is such a licence?
or does anyone have the url of the us duane?
anyone knows how to get in contact with them on-line?
it's worth an ask I think... maybe they know a way or can help me out...

thx///

is duane the wrong word?
with duane I mean those guys who delay your package for at least two weeks, stick their nose into everything and ask you to pay for it.

Duane=Customs in the USA. Basically the same pricks the require the license. lol The license isn't worth the one bottle of booze dude. Basically all food and liquor products the move between the US and Europe are heavily taxed by Duane/Customs because thats the way our governments want it. There are certain things you make that are highly desireable(IE..certain food, liquor and motor vehicles) and certain things we make(IE cigarettes, cigarettes and cigarettes, oh yeah and Jackson guitars) that both our government capitalize on when it comes to the old import tax dollar.
