Isn't that an Epiphone from the late '80s "Metal Bandwagon" series?

          Re: Gibson Soloist!?!?!??!!

It is an Epi. Gibson made many models similar to the Soloist though. The closest they came would have been the US1, and the Q series. A little bigger than the soloist, and they had set necks.

Look where this picture is from. That says alot right there............

Funny, I remeber Barringtons being made in Japan, and then having "Barrington Ill." on the headstock. At no time did they ever say "Made in USA." on them. They made some really nice guitars, but that is definately not a Barrinton. Its an Epi.........

Usually when you see Gibson on the trussrod cover it is an EPI, it is deffinately different, but a Vintage Trem on a shredder Jack.

                          Re: Gibson Soloist!?!?!??!!

I saw a red and black one very similar to it in a local shop, and it def. had the Gibson logo on the headstock (not the truss cover). I also believe it had a really crusty Floyd on it. It was ugly as sin.

I beleive that red guitar is a U2 model, not a US1, and its entirely different from the black one.....In fact they arent even similar.....Like I said before, look at where the pictures come from, that says alot about this guitar.......
