FloydRose height adjustment

Some people think adjusting FR's height without removing string tension first ruins the knife edges, is that true?

If the knife edge goes dull the thing wont stay in tune as good as with sharp edge.

So it wont ruin them but you migh thave to resharpen them.

Also you dont have to remove all string tension. I usually just take take some string tension off and take the knife edge just a little bit off the post and then turn.

I have had some JT-6 trems that were dull on the edges, but real floyds Must be harder because I have not yet took one of and seen it dull. If you feel better loosen the strings, other wise just get out your allen key out and turn.
