  • Jackson dk2s humming problem !

Hello everyone. I have got a new Jackson DK2S. My problem is,when i put the battery for sustaniac, there is a loud humming/ground sound. If ı get my battery out, humming is gone. I changed my batteries a few times. Also, whenever ı open sustaniac, humming is gone again. I encounter with humming only, when there is a battery and sustaniac is OFF. Any solutions ? Sorry for my bad English. I hope ı could explained myself. Or is this normal because of passive pickups on guitar ?

Check all your ground leads and make sure they are solid.
Could be a cold solder joint that failed. Easy to fix, just re-solder the connection.

Ok,Thank you so much Rick ! Since i know nothing about soldering or wiring guitars, i will just get it to a guitar tech. Is there a spesific point should i mention or just tell the tech that he should look everywhere and check everywhere ? Thanks for the reply anyways.

Have them run through the whole guitar's wiring.
The Sustaniac sustainers are pretty solid units, so I suspect something has come loose over time.
