  • DK2/DK3 pickup arrangement?

Hey guys, just looking for some advice about the DK2's pickup layout compared to the DK3. DK2 has the standard Jackson layout, two humbuckers - JB on the bridge, 59 on the neck. DK3 has a JB on the bridge, and then a custom flat strat on the mid and neck. Has anyone used both of these guitars? If so, what were the most noticeable differences between say, using both inner coils on the DK2 and just the mid CFS on the DK3?

    Many thanks.

Using both inner coils on an HH pickup guitar will sound more like a two-pickup Telecaster. Using just a lone single coil on an xSx pickup guitar will sound more like the middle position of a Stratocaster.

Huh? The DK2 is HSS and the DK3 is HSH.

The Japanese DK2 and DK3 of the 2000s were as you stated, HSS and HSH respectively. He's talking about the current, Mexican-made DK2 and DK3, which are HH and HSS respectively, seen below.
