  • 5150 prices

Alright, my dad that lives in Ohio said he saw a 5150 in a pawn shop for 900 bucks. He knows nothing about gear so I don't know if it has the cabs with it. I've tryed to look for prices for it new and can't find any. Is 900 bucks a rip off for a used 5150? My dad said something about EVH signature so maybe the Pawn Shop is tryin to rip someone off? Any info would be nice. Thanks a lot!

900 bucks is too expensive, especially if its used. I've seen new 5150s in music stores for 800, maybe a little less.

I found a used one in a shop here yesterday for $499. Not too bad, good condition.

I just bought a 5150 head and 5150 Slant Cab for $500. Its the perfect match for my straight 5150 cab. I paid $150 for the cab and $325 for the head plus tax. The head is the new signature model and was mad in Jan 99. Seems like a pretty good deal. I can't wait to get home and try it out. I am visiting family here in Denver, CO. They did have another 5150 head for $459.

Thanks for the info. I found out it has the cab with it. I can't be sure but my dad said it was about 3 feet tall. lol. It kinda sucks being in another state and trying to have someone describe who doesn't know anything about them. I'm figuring its 4x12 though. My dad knows who is sellin it, and I guess the pawn shop only gave him 100 bucks for it. they sell for 900 as a "Christmas Sell" seems more like a rip off. I will just tell him I can still find it cheaper somewhere else. Sorry Erock420, I don't have the money for it. Its my dad who wants to buy it for me I guess.

Well it has been talked down to $595 I think. I guess this is a decent price for it. I haven't heard it, but know someone who has and they said it was fine. I just hope if I get it, its not broked or that stuff, yeah...
