  • Jackson amps?

I've seem some pictures of Jackson amps(mostly a 50W head) around the internet, but I though Jackson was strictly a guitar maker. Are they custom made, or were they produced for a while and put out of production, or some other reason that I can't think of...?

    Re: Jackson amps?

They were Jackson designs. The originals were made in England and the Reference series was made in USA under Steve Mauriella (sp?). Robb Lane had one of the first ever, built when Grover Jackson was running the show, a red Marshall looking 100 watt with matching cabinet, someone here must know of it. On eBay there is a 50 and 100 watt Reference Series head. I own a pair of 50 watt models and four matching cabinets. Very good tone, the 50 watters use EL-34 tubes, the 100 watters use 5881's.
