    anyone ever used one? what did you think good, bad? Concerns?

    I use the HotPlate and love it, but this site has some really good info on everything, including load devices.

          I'm just going on hearsay, but I have heard of more than one instance of a cold solder joint breaking and taking the output transformer with it.

            I've heard a lot of bad things about power brakes taking out amps. I'd NEVER use one.

            I had the Marshal Speaker Emulator and it was VERY cool. It had a lot more involved circuitry and was designed by groove tubes I'm told.

            I would (and am) looking at a Palmer Box for that stuff, or the hotplate that a lot of guys here use and are succesful with. And they are using some expensive amps into them too.

                I have one and used it on a JCM900 head with no issues whatsoever. I even asked Tace Allan if they were ok to use and was told "absolutely" he even uses on at his shop.
