  • duncan custom & 59

I rewired a soloist 2H, got 2 used Duncans a 59N and a custom. For some reason the 59 in the neck over powers the Custom in the bridge. Wiring seems correct (the 59 is a 4 conductor), all is quiet no wiring issues that i can tell. Any ideas?

You can try lowering the 59 N and raising the Custom to offset the difference.

Plug in a short cable and measure resistance between tip and ground with volume and tone on 10.

Set pickup switch to neck. 59 should be around 8K ohms. Switch to bridge - the Custom should be around 14K. If not, you have issues.
