  • DK2 Replacement P/U

I'm assembling a Japanese DK2. I know in this will end up costing more than buying one whole but I've always wanted to do a "partscaster". I am planning on putting a JB in the bridge but not sure about the two single coils. Was thinking about the Duncan STK S6/S4 but never played them before. I'm looking for a single coil tone preferably hum cancelling. Any suggestions?

Have you thought about Fender's noiseless pickups? I have a set of SCN's, and I quite like them, although when I tried them in a guitar with a Seymour Duncan Full Shred (SH10), they didn't suit it, but with a Custom (SH5) in the bridge, they worked well together. I never tried them with a JB, so I can't comment there.
    A Charvel CX592, Jackson JS20 and a Jackson DK2, amongst others....

I liked the STK-S1's that were in my 97 DK2

Sounds like you had a post-'05 DK2. Black hardware? They switched to black hardware and Seymour Duncans in 2006.
