  • Pickup wiring help!

hey guys if anyone could give me a nice diagram or detailed walk through of what i should do I have the seymour duncan blackouts single coil set, my guitar has just a volume,25k pot, and a 5 way switch (import). I've been wiring it up to the diagrams provided, but those have a tone pot included in it and I'm not exactly sure if I did it correctly as I tried to figure it out myself. Thanks

I do not have wiring diagram for that set up, but the tone control only connects the capacitor that is connected to the tone pot to ground to make the tone control work. you should just be able to ignore the wires that connect the tone controls to what ever they are shown to connect to in you diagram

I couldn't find that diagram on the website for my life, thanks! I guess I require 2 9v... never heard of that

I was under the impression using two batteries was a mod people only did if they wanted to get even more output. Seems a bad idea for singles. Sure you could follow that diagram but only use on 9v.

I have a set of Blackouts (H-H) and it only calls for one battery. Maybe the singles, or using 3 pickups requires 2 batteries. I don't know why it would though. I would e-mail Duncan and see why it shows 2.
