  • JRS-2 Pickup size

Hi Guys, I have a 1997 JRS-2 and am planning to replace the pickup with a SD Pearly Gates. I am not sure if I should get an F-sized (trembucker) bridge pickup or regular one. The common sense is to get an F-sized, but I know for sure some manufacturers (PRS) use regular-sized pups in both positions. Thanks

the different is the spacing on the poles on the pickups themselves. like a floyd rose will have a slightly wider string placement than the standard trem or hard tail. from what I've seen the pickups often fit directly into the same cavity as the last humbucker. if it is a little too wide for the route trim out a little off the corners on the guitar route that will be covered by a ring.
