  • Jackson SL2 Locking Nut

    Hey Everyone,

I have a 2000's SL2 (not the "pro" model they make now, no inlays, Jackson JT580LP Bridge) that at one time or another the locking nut was replaced with one that doesn't fit too well in terms of string height from the frets over the first 4 frets. I don't have an exact measurement but there is somewhere between .036" and .046" clearance on the first fret for the low E string, bad enough that when fretting the F on the first fret it will pull sharp rather dramatically. I'm not a extreme low action guy but I feel as though that this is just too high.

Internet research recommended a BH43 nut, which I had already and there is too much space. Does anyone here have an SL2 and can they indicate what type of locking nut they have on their guitar? Any guidance would be appreciated.
