  • Anyone try the FRX Floyd?

I've always hated Jackson's stringthrough/TOM setup, and preferred they had used a traditional stopbar/TOM setup. Finally the FRX comes along and proves that it was a bad idea.

    Looks interesting.
Only works on TOM setups and after reading the installation notes, you may have to carve a channel into the body for the tension rod if the neck angle is too shallow.
Not sure how many people are willing to carve up a nice top on an LP to try this out.

I've never had that problem Newc, I've always had a fascination with the Floyds and have managed to avoid stringthrough guitars. The only guitar we have in the house that is stringthrough belongs to my son a Dean Dave Mustaine Zero AODII , he enjoys it, but mostly plays his Floyd warrior.

KV2T has stringthrough/TOM. I could put one on the Morton I suppose, but then the Morton is not the KV2T, is it?
