  • Lindy Fralin pickups

I'm looking to replace my Duncan JBs and look for something new. Generally, I've always loved the sound of the JB. Its pretty evenly textured and plenty clear through the right amp, but I'm looking for a little more texture, maybe a little more beef, but not necessarily more gain, I don't want a metal humbucker.

I noticed recently that Lindy Fralin makes pickups in my area. Anyone got exprience with his humbuckers? He seems to cater more towards single coil and P90 style, classic and vintage sounding stuff. It looks like he makes a high gain bucker and a PAF style bucker. Anyone used these in a modern rock kind of setting?

I haven't tried his pickups yet, but I will probably eventually pull the trigger on a set of P-92's for my ES-339.

I have not tried his 'buckers, but a friend of mine owns an ES-135 with Fralin P90s that is sublime.
      I like EL34s.
