  • Rusty pickup pole pieces? Try some Gorgomyte!

In doing another project guitar I pulled out one of my all time fav pickup the Jackson J90C and saw how rusty and dull the pole pieces were. Steel wool did not seem like a good option for many reasons but then the idea of using Gorgomyte came to mind.

I actually had a scrap 2" x 2" piece in the trash from last nights setup on a friends Les Paul so I dug it out and gave it a go.

Wow! Just a fast pass or two made them look new. Seems to be no issues with the plastic bobbins as well.

Give it a try next time yourself with some rusty pole pieces!

      Gorgomyte rocks.

I introduced my wife to it when she needed to clean up some metal on one of her saddles. Now I think she uses more of it for random things than I do for my guitars
