  • Nut fix tip

I have been looking for an original nut for my old 92 fusion H-H with no luck.
The guitar has been down for about a year so I had an idea how to fix the locking pad screw holes.
Looked for heli coils to do a proper fix but none I could find were small enough.
The screw holes were stripped from years of use so the nut was screwed anyway so I tried something and it worked.
Took some old Kahler lock nut screws that were from an after the nut string lock set up.
I looked and they were larger in diameter than the floyd screws so I used a touch of light cutting oil and threaded them down into the worn out R4 nut.
Worked out like a charm and cut some nice solid threads.
Used the kahler string lock screws and floyd locking pads.
A good cheap fix for stripped out import nuts.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.
Working...
