  • How do they get this kind of finish?

I know this may not be the right place but well I saw this fusion body on ebay, and I love that kind of paint finishes with color transitions like this one, from purple to blue to green.
I don't know how to paint a guitar, and won't do it unless I have plenty of expierience or knowledge about it, but I still want to know how do they get this kind of finish?
I do not own the rights of this picture

I have done it it a few times Base coat sand smooth and spray on your colors overlapping a bit and use a sponge while the paint is wet and blend the colors in a dabbing motion.
You can use a wadded up paper towel too or a rough textured fabric, main thing is don't smear it just dab.
It will leave a rough texture you will have to sand smooth let dry then clear coat.
I'm sure there are other ways but thats how I did it.
I have sectioned off areas and used black base and white base to get a more vivid contrast in colors.
That one looks like a black base coat.

Try it with a feather duster, or plastic flowers/plant leaves instead.

Saran wrap wrapped up into a bundle works great for this technique.

Used saran wrap on an EDS (eriedess) project and it worked very well.
