  • Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invaders

Hey guys, I've been thinking about replacing the stock Jackson humbucker in my Soloist Pro and I was looking at an Invader. I've never played a guitar with one installed and would love to know you guys' opinions on them. What kind of tone am I gonna be getting? Is it gonna be a significant difference? Thanks.

I put a pair of Invaders in an old Jackson Kelly XLR (poplar body, bolt-on maple neck/rosewood board) many years back, and they sounded great! High-gain, warm and chunky sound without being muddy.

I had one in my RR5, but had to take it out. Way too much and too loose on the bottom. I put a duncan custom in there and never looked back.

My opinion probably varies from yours, though. I love the old Jackson pickups in my M6, soloist custom and Rhoads pro

"Bolts of Volts" is always a fun pickup.
