  • Headstock replacement logo

I know this has been addressed before, but those posts are old.

Where can I find a good Charvel or Jackson waterslide for a refin project? I've reached out to a couple of old sites and haven't heard anything back. eBay is barren.

    Any help?

I have a few Charvel ones around I think in gold maybe some other colors id have to look. I bought a big ass lot of em a long time ago. Mostly just using them to restore headstocks and havent come acrossed many charvel necks. They are waterslide and damn good quality but they are made with the MADE IN USA stuff all in caps so if someone makes a fake youll know em.

The Jackson ones I have are spot on and I save them only for restorations.

let me know if you have a black one that you are willing to part with. The two guys that got back to me want outragous prices. I wouldn't have thought they would be so expensive.

So much for my budget build, lol

I have had great success with Bedlam Creations . Josh Muma is a great guy and painless to work with. They are quality decals and for me work great buried in Behlen clear lacquer. Yes you will have to probably order a certain sheet size from them, that will determine how many decals you get. Its not a big deal to me because I usaully want multiples because of my custom designs. Just my 2 cents worth.

I only paid $14.00 for my Charvel decal at Sentinel Custom graphics. I thought that was high but options seem limited unless you buy the stuff to make them yourself.

Find someone in your area that does vinyl signs and that sort of stuff. Then get a good, sharp digital image of the jackson logo and go over there. Chances are that they can sharpen it more if needed and make as many as you want.

Vinyl is pretty thick if your going to try and bury it in clear and it doesn't like certain clear products I believe.

But that is just vinyl, right? Did you clear over it?

Waterslide decal IIRC, cleared over. It's totally smooth to the touch.
