I just picked up a Charvel Model 2 that looks to have the stock Kahler trem. Is the Killer the only direct replacement for it or will an OFR fit without modification? The stock trem looks a little beat up and I do use the bar a little so I would like the most stable replacement I can get.

The OFR will not fit without extensive mods. The killer works great and will be cheaper compared to having a floyd installedIt's pronounced soops -

I'm assuming it has the 2500 Kahler?
They are a good unit overall, the string clamp where the fine tuners are is the only weak link.Only had one break ever but the parts can be had inline at Kahler USA .comReally? well screw Mark Twain.Comment

Stray, I don't have it in hand yet and the Evilbay pics aren't detailed enough but most of what I have read about these Models says they have the 2500 Fulcrum Trem...from what I can see in the pics that is what it looks like. the Killer is the only direct replacement but it is a bit steep. I may see if the Fulcrum has any big issues once I clean it up. The killer gets decent reviews for stability, intonation, ease of use and adjustment options!
