A Schaller will fit the 580lp trem rout nicely... the ofr not so much.

Plenty of people here have put an OFR in a 580LP route with no problem. Will a Schaller fit?

I've never heard of people replacing the JT580LP with a Schaller, but an OFR does indeed fit. Maybe Rob has put a Schaller in with good results?

Yes a Schaller/JT590 will fit without an issue. The base plates are the same width. The lock bolts are shorter on a Schaller so it's a no brainer.

Thanks i did want to know how is the JT580lp on these? Is it a good enought trem when set blacked to dive only? I heard the second gen of these trems is a bit harder metal?

The 580LP should be fine and give you no issues blocked. I've used some older ones from the early to mid '90s and never had any problem with them staying in tune, and I didn't have them blocked.

                    I've never had a problem with a JT580LP.

The Schaller has near identical dimensions to the JT580 baseplate, so it fits almost perfectly. The ofr, while it does fit, leaves huge gaps and looks like garbage IMO.

It will be a tad tighter on the trem side, but will work fine.
