  • Rear Cover plates on Stealth Pro

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, so mod feel free to move. I have an early 90's Stealth Pro MIJ - what material are the rear trem and elec cavity covers supposed to be? They are black plastic right now, but they look pretty ratty. Did they come from the factory in black plastic or black aluminum? Thanks!

Well, that depends, if the logo in mother of pearl and the fingerboard is ebony, then they are metal. Otherwise, plastic.

Yes it does have a MOP headstock logo and ebony fretboard. Looks like a trip to fretsonthenet! Thanks!

Those were metal plates, and I think the electronics cover had more than 3 screw holes and was not recessed into the body.
