  • Problem with a Jackson Dinky Elite

    Yo!

I got an Elite jackson (japan) that doesn't work as i should do!
When I turn of vol, it still sounds. It gets quiet when turning last tone knob of.
The pre-amp is ther for what?
It's very little diff between neck and bridge pickups in sound (sounds like both are in use only more or less)
    Any help is appreciated!

    Hi,

i think you mean an Elite Soloist not a dinky?
I just experienced the same thing as you've described with my Jackson Elite Soloist.
Only when turning the toneknob of the active eq to the highest sounding side the guitar will be totaly muted.
Very strange thing and unacceptable for me.

    Did you get it fixed?

You can always scrap the preamp and sell it. 500K pots and mono 1/4" jacks are cheap. You could upgrade to CTS and Switchcraft and lose all the problems of active. Plus the JE-1200 is still sought after so you will probably walk away slightly richer
