I have a 96 Grover Jackson with stock tuners. Can this tuner withstand heavy gauge string, like 13-65?Or i need to change the tuners?

if they fit through the hole they are fine, otherwise you will have to open the hole up with a drill or file etc.

I'm pretty sure your neck will snap before the tuners go. What tuning?

I use 13-65 tuned to C standard and I have never broken a tuner. But yeah, you will probably have to ream the hole out a bit with a round file. Just do it "enough" though, if you get overzealous you can weaken it too much.

              13-65s for C?!

              I would use 12-52 or 12-54.

I use 13-65s for C and do 1.5 step bends at the 22nd fret with them just fine. I also shred on beat up acoustics with actions like power lines. I play guitar a LOT and my fingers are pretty strong. :headbang:

I do tend to tell tall tales. Anything I say about guitar is true. If I go off on a tangent about being either a astronaut or lion tamer I'm bullshitting.

Yeah, not to sound like your grampa and all, but I don't think I want to hear a guitar sound like that.
