  • Problems setting up my Rhoads pro

Hey guys! Just got my hands on a 90's Rhoads pro, only problem is its been quite problematic setting it up but i'm close. One problem I have is on the G string, everything works fine but the 9th fret harmonic sucks and when I try and to a half pinch bend the note doesnt come out at all, I assure you I am proficient at the technique. When I do a standard bend the note coms out just fine. I checked intonation but that didnt fix anything. Here's a vid to demonstrate.

I also have a problem with my B string when I get the E to sit where I want it. It plays fine but when I bend it it frets out at the very last fret once it passes by where the G usually sits. Is the fret just worn in a way that sucks?

Sorry if any of this is unclear, i'm just really frustrated trying to get this thing to play as good as it feels.

I'd say the neck needs a bit of relief...trussrod tweak.

      too much blues rock chatter.

It could be a little too straight but when I put a little more relief in it its hard to get the strings to sit at a good action.

Ok I will ask the basic questions here...

          1. Have you ever setup a Floyd?
          2. Did the guitar play fine at one time in your possession?
          3. If yes on 2 what did you do that made it like it is now?
          4. Did you put old rusty strings on it>
