  • Intonation

I was setting my intonation last night and I noticed on the A string that my intonation saddle had run out of adjustment, so I moved it to the other hole and even there it was right at the end of the range and still not dead on. Has anyone else run in to this? Brand new strings that were stretched and a Peterson tuner? Guitar set up to 1/2 step down
    Thx

Only the A string? Is it further back than the E string? If so, try a different string. Sometimes you get a bad one.

Yeah, sounds like a bad string. One of my guitars has this issue currently. It has old strings on it and has caused the high E to be a half step out of intonation no matter where I put the saddle. The 13th fret is the octave no matter what. Its fucking weird, but it was fine before, so I know its the string.

Yup, mine was a dead string. Just restrung the guitar in question and it intonated just fine. Damn that was strange though.
