  • Getting Model 6 refretted in NJ

Any suggestions on good shops that people have used before? One guy that I contacted said he won't touch necks with binding.

Obviously not that guy.. That's not a good business model for luthiers/techs...

Im in South Jersey about 15 minutes from Philly. I could do it for you if youre not too far.

              Yeah, he might be ok.

Thanks Rob. I'm in W. Caldwell, NJ. So, that's probably a 2.5 hr ride. However, I haven't been ot Philly in a while. Have an in-law in Newtown as well. Might be an easy trip. PM me if you have a website or some previous work, details, etc.

Central Jersey Music Service in Edison is a good place. I've had amps and guitars repaired by them before. They're in the back of the Lou Rose Music shop.

Thanks Toe', I will definitely check them out. I also have a model 3 on the way that might want some love. If I could get my hands on a Soloist XL, that would probably eliminate the Model 6 altogether. No more mini toggles, or JT-6 locking nut.
