I have two inexpensive "dual rail" single coils coming from Hong Kong via ebay for my Model 3.
I purchased them pretty darn cheap and they can not be any worse sounding than the original single coils in there now. They are Alnico V and rated at 12k and above all hum cancelling so the noise should all but disappear.
Question is should they arrive with no color code instructions, how does one wire then up correctly? I suppose I could take my multi-meter and find out the start/finish of each coil no? But then if I wire two ala a Strat will I encounter any problems like out of phase in position 2 of a 5-way?
