  • Cleaning nitro finish?

Okay seriously. I have a 50th anniversary Gibson SG 24 as of a week back, and I cannot keep the fugger clean. I have some Planet Waves shine cleaner that works wonder on all my Poly finishes but for some reason just seems to spread the dirt on a nitro finish...

How do you guys clean your nitro finishes?

The Stewmac preservation polish is good for Nitro.

I don't. Just let them get sweaty and cloudy. It's what God would want.

Same as any other guitar. Moist breath and a polishing cloth. A little saliva for areas that need more attention. Naptha on areas that need even more than that. I haven't used guitar polish on a guitar in almost 10 years. A good polish cloth is key. I like the gray one from Dean Markley.
