Pronunciation of "Charvel"???

    Pronunciation of "Charvel"???

    Arrgh... I hate how "pronounce" has an O before the U in it, but "pronunciation" doesn't have the O before the U. Anyways...

    I've never really known how to pronounce the name "Charvel".

    Now that you're done flaming me, would it be pronounced "Charr-vul", "Charr-vehll", "Sharr-vul", "Sharr-vehll", or something else?

    I have a habit of saying "Sharr-vehll", so if that's wrong, I'll correct myself.

    Shar vel. The "Ch" is pronounced as the "sh" in the word "ship." I have heard people mispronounce it as the "Ch" in the word "chip" but this is not how the name should be spoken. The "ar" part rhymes with "star." The "vel" part of the name rhymes with "bell".

      Awesome, that means I've been pronouncing it right all along.

      Sounds a bit French... should be spelled "Charvelle" for the proper pronunciation. [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

                It's spelled C-h-a-r-v-e-l,

                but pronounced 'Smith'.

                  I used to have a huge Charvel banner in my room, back in the 80's. One time this girl I 'had over' asked me "Who is C. Harvel?" [img]graemlins/eyes.gif[/img] Fn'g women, they just don't get it!! [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
