    Try finding metric screws.

I've seen some JT580LP guitars with posts that were pretty much Floyd posts, and others that are not. My SL2 was, my Fusion HH was not.

You could probably just get a bolt, maybe take it to the HW store and find a metric bolt that fits. But the bigger ones are JT6 bushings... Maybe it was a Jackson with a Floyd on JT6 posts? They did that IIRC.

You could pull the installed bushings, and install a new matching set of posts/bushings.

I believe that's what he's trying to do; he's just finding it difficult without something to thread into the bushings that will bite so he can pull them.

I hate when sellers strip a body like that. If you have the posts, include them. If not, say so in the listing so people can avoid it.

That said, good luck finding replacements at the big parts houses like StewMac. I've yet to find exact replacements. If all else fails, drill a small hole in the back of the body (1/8") and drive them out the top with a 1/8" pin punch (if you can find one locally).

I know StewMac sells one. It's like $45USD. Comes with a set of screws/bolts. Might be steep for a one time thing. If I knew it was going to be a one-time thing, I'd buy it, use it and then re-sell it on to someone else.

But I think somewhere on here, there was a thread where a dude made his own bushing-puller.

Just go to the hardware store, find the right thread bolt or screw longer than the bushing, screw it in, and when it bottoms out in the hole it will push the bushing up and out.

That's how I do it. Or, I use the stud and something that fits very closely to the ID of the bushing but won't bind in the threads. Unless I don't care about the body, then I pull it from the top with a claw hammer.

Being metric, it might be hard to find the right threading at a local hardware store. You'd have to take the guitar with you, which may not be entirely practical.
