  • ? about installing Wilky trem bushings...

Ok, I'm thinking about installing the VS100 on my current project. After drilling out the body for the studs, I'm only gonna have about 5 millimeters of wood between the bushing and the hunbucker cavity. Is that enough wood for support?
I still keep practicing though.... Mostly because I hate my neighbors.-MakeAJazzNoiseHere

It depends on the strength of the wood. I have seen and have many Peavey Nitros that were made of such soft basswood it wouldn't matter how thick the wood is. They split the body, pulled forward, etc. For the body where they just pulled forward a little, I tune down and use light strings.

well crap. I'm really not wanting to use the stock bridge...it's old, ugly and rusty. And the saddle screws stick too far out the top and bug me when I play. I guess I could just use the stock plate and get new saddles.
