  • Killer Book On Restoring Guitars?

I'm looking for a (great) book that teaches how to put a guitar together. Everything from full body restoration and painting, to wiring the electronics, instaling a tremolo, and the tools i need to get the job done.

Amazon.com -> search for "Dan Erlewine" and "Melvyn Hiscock."

Also, check out the "books" section of www.stewmac.com. There are several books covering those topics.

Dan Erlewine seems to be the man to listen to. Very helpful forum, thanks to everyone!

So far i've decided on the following:

          Dan Erlewine's Guitar Finishing Step-by-Step.

Dan Erlewine's Guitar Player Repair Guide.

Les Schatten's The New Book Of Standard Wiring Diagrams.

All on stewmac.com. The only thing i'm still unsure of, is if any of the 2 books by Erlewine talk about how to connect a neck to a body.

That one, too. The only book i've found that actually teaches how to repair a body in need of attention. Feedbacks on those 4 books would be appreciated.

"Dan Erlewine's Guitar Player Repair Guide."

A MUST HAVE for any guitarist, whether you are into repairing the "major" stuff or not. Almost everything is covered in that book. I've got two copies myself. One that I keep on my reference bookshelf and one I keep in my shop.
