  • Nut size help

Usually, nut sizes are given in millimeters. For 6-string guitars, they are mostly 42 mm (like ESPs) or 43 mm (like Jacksons).

On the Jackson Cusom Shop Spec Form, we have two nut sizes

    1 11/16 inches = 42,86 mm

    1 5/8 inches = 41,28 mm

Can I assume the first one is supposed to be 43 and the second one 42 ? Does anyone have precise information (from CS ordered instruments you own and could measure) ?

This shit is driving me nuts...

Why would you think that a USA-made guitar is "supposed to be" a metric measurement?

Pretty much every Jackson USA production guitar uses an R3 nut and a 1 & 11/16" nut width. That's also the same as a Fender American Standard Strat.

    You probably want 1 & 11/16".
