  • Stripped R3 Nut

I was changing my strings (it has been a couple years or so since the last time...) when I noticed this:

Is this because I'm not changing strings frequently enough or something else? At what point should I change the nut?
    Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

    Couple of years? Holy crap.

As long as the nut still holds, and the string leaves the nut cleanly, it's fine.

yeah as long as the nut still holds it'll be ok

The thread may not have been cut properly when the nut was manufactured, this happens when tools wear, or the material has impurities etc

      Consider the nut slightly relic'ed
