  • Need help finding a Gold locking nut for Jackson DK2

I'm trying to find a BH.43 gold locking nut. I have looked on some parts sites but ebay but nothing that matches. there are a few others that I have found that are similar but I don't know what the different letter mean to make the right choice. I don't want to modify the neck to fit the floyd rose one that I have that is taller and I already have a black and a chrome.
I don't want to sound lazy but direct links please.
Or help figuring out if there is another one that will work without modifications.

I think the 43 in that # is supposed to be a 43mm nut and here is a FR licensed 43mm nut. Has a pic with dimensions you can match up. http://www.gpdusa.com/Locking_Nuts-4...cking_Nut.html Maybe the right one..

the height was right on the measurements except they don't show the measurement heights of the slots for the strings. This one is better than the floyd rose but still way too high.

Yeah, Rich when I needed a nut for my SL2 I found that no one really knows which one is "right" and some people spent way too much money buying various ones from GPD, Ebay, Stewmac, Allparts, etc. that never fit.

IMO, have the shelf routed for a Floyd nut before you waste any more money. Shouldn't cost more than $30? It's an easy job.

You might try this guy here:

I only see chrome and black in his inventory, but he might have gold if you ask him. I bought one of those nuts for my old KE3 neck, and it fitted fine. I then moved it over to my current DK2 neck and it fits fine on there too, so I'm pretty confident it will fit fine.

I've used that guy for a few things and he's always been great.

for the width, but they're way too tall. anything that is actually made as a floyd rose replacement are too tall. I might just have to put the black one I have and use the gold locks. i have a chrome one too.

Take the nut and put it to a sanding belt and make it fit.

Just get out the grinding wheel. I did with my gold nut. I think I need to grind it down a little more.
