F R bridge for Charvette

Hello all i bought a FR for my charvette because i was told it came out of a charvette. on my guitar it measures 2 3/4 inches from post to post on center the one i received is 2 7/8 ths
i am looking for a trem that will fit in the stock location or if i can put another make FR in it.
I am very new at this but trying to learn on a faster curve.
i would appreciate any recccomendations except throwing it away.
