  • Fixing Stripped Screw Hole

Guys just wanted to say I saw a thread on here that said to use a tooth pick.

    So I did.

Just measured it a little shorter than the whole and it worked great.

Tip: Put the screw in while the glue is still wet. Unless you are using CA... Then don't do that.

I use wood glue. You can use superglue, but make damn sure none gets near the finish! Ask me how I know that...

I'll also drop some water thin CA glue into older strap button holes and bolt on neck holes. It helps the screws gain some bite.

I have found with injecting the stripped hole with wood filler and letting it dry w/ no screw in it, then drilling a small pilot hole and gently threading in the screw works pretty good. I think it Elmers makes those long nozzle wood filler. Works fine for me!
