  • Rewire help!

I am rewiring my guitar and need some help with this 3-way lever I just bought.

My guitar is 2 Humbuckers, 3-way lever, volume, output.

I have not seen a diagram that fits my 3-way lever connections.

    It a retro parts http://www.theguitarfiles.com/product_info-2243.html

I guess the middle connection is going to the volume pot
Neck pickup connecting to left #1 and #2
Bridge pickup to right #2 and #3

yeah I've gone there, the problem I have is that the diagrams show 8 connections on the lever switch and there's only 7 on mine.

According to that diagram, the 1s on each side do the same thing, the 2s are the middle, and the 3s do the same thing. The center should be the pivot for the lever, but if it's a connection, it's got to be the Common (output to the knobs).

2 should be an automatic bridge between 1 and 3 on both sides, so you should only have to connect the pickups to the 1 and 3.

Maybe I should be clearer, when the lever is in "1" position, both #1 are connected.

I think connecting to #2 is to hear both pickup at the same time. The middle really is a connection (it's always linked to two other connections) so I think it's the output to the volume pot.

if I'm wrong please tell me before I solder everything :P
