Is anybody else disgusted with EMG's new solderless setup? I got a brand new set of 81 & 60 today to put in my brand new RR5 and I've never cussed so much working on a guitar yet. Where in the hell do they expect you to put that huge junction solder less block at along with 3 pots, a switch, and a 9 volt battery in the cavity. I am most certainly not routing a hole in the back since its a clean back so in the cavity the battery stays. I got so ticked off I cut all the quick connect BS off and grabbed a spare 25k tone pot I had left over and started to wire that in. Now I have to wait for two more 25K A taper pots to arrive before I can finish. They still have the slots to solder on the pots but its such a f'n waste to try and solder them on there.
Anybody else dealt with the BS? Its a good idea but has flaws to it.
