sd neck texture

Hey guys I want to sand the back of the neck on one of my dinky's & I'd like to get the texture as close to my promod SD as possible, any suggestions on wich grit to use?

I've used 320 then 400 and then used a few coats of tung oil. If your didnky neck is not qtr sawn which most are not I would think twice about doing this, your neck will be more prone to warping and temperature changes. you might want to try some steel wool first.
If the neck has binding I would tape over it which ever way you go.

Dinky... Import? A USA will already feel pretty much the same.

Green Scotch Brite pad to take the gloss down will help a lot.
