  • Pickup-switching

I have a question for you tech-heads out there.
I have this CS Soloist. It has two humbuckers and a 5-way switch. Here's the thing: I don't get the switching. In position 1 and 5 I get full buckersound from bridge or neck depending on what I have selected, but in all the other positions are both buckers activated.
The question is. Is it possible to rewire this? I want to have both buckers only in the center position. I was thinking it would be better with a Ibanez-like setup with

    -0-----0-------0-------0----0-
    Full-parallel-both-parallel-full

Anyone knows how to do this? Do I need a new pick-up swith to do this?

    Thnx

It believe with the 5 way superswitch it will be like this...

BB - BN -BBNN - NB - NN

where B is a bridge coil and N is a neck coil. Positions 2 and 4 will sound very similar as it's just changing between inside/outside coils.

Try this diagram if it's a standard Strat-style switch:

This will automatically split the hums in 2 and 4.

Try this one if it's a Jackson Special 5-way (SuperSwitch wiring is a wee bit different from the Special 5-way - same options, but the pin assignments on each section are a bit different).
