  • Q on unknown locknut

Anyone know what this is? To me its just part of my "Model 3 Tremolo Nightmare".

Does anybody have one on his guitar? Can they be modified? I removed it from my guitar 2 years ago. There are no markings on it.

I think they were a failed attempt in having a wrenchless locking nut. They may have been made by the Floyd Co, but I can't verify it. I came across one once and could not figure out how it worked.

Looks like a knock-off of a Bill Edwards Finger Tite locking nut.
        Models
The prudes may snub them, but I don't care.
        I dont need furniture.
If its tough, shreds, and screams, Its all good.
If it gets jacked, I'll get another one.
        And rock that sucker.

LOL, I have one of those off an old guitar and refuse to use it. It just looks like it eats strings to me. It has really sharp edges and no string guides with those flip locks. Sorry I can't place the make/model for you.

            +1.

I have parts for one, but can't figure out where they all are or how they go back together.
