Neck swap

I need some advice, I don't have much experience swaping necks on guitars but I have a 22 fret san dimas star neck I'd like to put on Jackson dinky body wich originaly had a 24 fret neck. Have any of you guys ever done something like this before? I would appreciate any advice & imput.

It could work but you're going to have to check about maybe wedging it since i am sure it won't level perfect which will give you either too much or not enough action and then there is scalling. A 24 is usually scaled larger than a 22 fret. I don't know about your neck, but it would be safe to test it. Check gap around the route and then try to see if you can intonate it properly because i have a feeling the scaling is going to off the tuning from 12th fret on
