  • Weak Tremolo Springs Floyd Rose or Strat

Does anyone know of a reliable source for low tension/mushy trem springs? I gave up looking for these things locally 20 years ago. A friend of mine had a set on his Kramer and they have a great feel to them.

    Here's an ebay seller:

I did a quick search of the usual online suspects, and only found weak springs listed >here<. That eBay seller is probably fine as well. There's another eBay seller that has "Raw Vintage" weak springs, but they're like $20 for a set of 5.

Gearpage forum has a lot of good reviews for those raw vintages. Many folks saying how it helped their tone.

I'm going to come out with a line of titanium knobs & switch tips to sell to those guys for $80 a pop. Anybody who shells out the money is guaranteed to say they tighten up the low end, add sustain, and brighten up the tone miraculously without adding shrillness. I'll call them The Emperor's Knobs.
