Mounting ring on the pickguard? Seems kinda overkill, no. (though a member here does that on his guitars as well)

I think Shawn's guitars look great like that. Very "Dave Murray"

So is there any way of aging it?
And would it be the same value as a normal 1A?

ya I just got a guitar with a Charvel neck, no idea if the body is Charvel, and the pin # isn't on the headstock, where else would it be?

Hmmm... the three switches point to a Model 4 with swapped trem. Is it a full-size strat or a dinky body? Guitar shaped headstock logo or large script?

Just for the heck of it, I'll ask here. My guitar is a Model 4 with a JT-6. I'm curious what year it was made though. SN 291548. Anyone that can give me an approximation?

87 or 88. The 86 models all had Kahlers.

I figured it was an 88, so I'm not too far off the mark if I'm wrong. Good enough, thanks Rob.
