Default NGD! Gotta love those pawn shops!

Its pretty rare that I hit a pawn shop any more because I have more than my share of great high end guitars.

Plenty of PC1's as well as vintage Les Paul's keeps me pretty satisfied.

Finding say, yet another Squier is just a waste of time for me.

I did manage to hit on the other day on the way home and scored this MIJ Pro for $175.00

tI had an EMG 81 at the bridge and the wiring was a total disaster as well.

I sold the EMG to a buddy for $75.00 so the total score became exactly $100 for this Jackson.

I had a Brass Big Blocks in my parts drawer so I installed one of those too.

Installed a freshly potted J90C at the bridge and threw in all new pots, switch and jack as well.

God is that J90C a total screamer! Those pups measure in at over 16 ohms and just wail!

Strung up with a fresh set of 13-56 (tuned down 1/2 step) and this is one great shredder for sure!

Still needs to be tweaked some more and fine tune the intonation but its a keeper!

I have been using 13-56 for ages and metal picks as well.

Ya it's certainly a Phil Collen thing.

I can really dig in and shred better than say on 10's....

And I NEVER break a string!

All my guitars are strung with 13-56's and tuned down 1/2

The tone is miles better IMHO!

Sweet score man! I have one of those myself, even the same color. J90C is a good choice over the stock pickup which isn't too shabby either. I thought I got a decent deal at $280 so $175 is killer.

It can't tell you how much a J90C just woke up a sleepy PC1 of mine!

I works so well with mahogany bodies and just makes that guitar jump out!
